Sandy has been working in Maternal and Child nutrition for 25 years. She began working in bench science developing infant formulas for children with special needs. She wanted to work with mothers and babies with special needs so went back to get an advanced degree in nutrition and the registered dietitian credential. She worked many years with sick babies and children injured in the Intensive Care unit. She decided to focus her career on preventing Adverse Pregnancy Outcomes and began working as a specialist in the area of high risk obstetric nutrition. In this role she says she is blessed to have a rewarding career and work with passionate students and as well as dedicated mothers.
